About Me
I embarked on my journey as a counselor in 2017, at a time when, like many college graduates, I was uncertain about my future. Reflecting on my college experience, I discovered that the key to both my own wellness and that of others lay in simple yet profound connections with caring individuals. This realization inspired me to build a career focused on helping people forge deeper connections with themselves and those around them.
In the fall of 2017, I began graduate school at the University of Florida, graduating in the fall of 2019. UF's esteemed Counselor Education program provided me with a solid foundation in multicultural, evidence-based practices that I apply today. During my studies, I gained invaluable experience at a residential rehabilitation facility for substance abuse and served as a play counselor for girls aged 5 to 16.
I began my career in community mental health, first as an outpatient counselor in schools and later in partial hospitalization settings. This role allowed me to work in a psychiatric hospital, conducting intakes for individuals in acute distress, as well as leading group and family therapy sessions.
In 2021, I transitioned to private practice to provide consistent, high-quality counseling for both my clients in Michigan and Florida. I have continued my professional development through ongoing education and have completed EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization) training, empowering clients like you to achieve happier, healthier lives. Don’t wait for change to happen; actively participate in your healing and happiness. Together, we can make progress.
